Not many companies show their employees just how much they appreciate their contributions and loyalty. There are so many ways that an employer can make the employees feel like they are an important part of the whole system. One great way is through Employee Christmas Gifts. This can either be an actual gift that is wrapped for the employee, or it can be a bonus check at that time of year. It all depends on what the company can really afford to give out to each person that is working there. After receiving a gift from the company, an employee is much more motivated to do an excellent job.

What’s the deal with sigma six? I mean, a lot of people I respect have been telling me to look into sigma six as a way of streamlining my business.
I’ve been surfing the net looking at options for a href=”http://www.si6ma.com/six-sigma-process.php”>Six Sigma Process. It’s not cheap, that’s for sure, but the potential cost savings look like they might justify the price.
I’ve seen sigma six turn around some pretty shady operations. It can’t hurt to try it.
Alright - that’s all for now.

I’ve been checking into Lean Manufacturing Principles for our company recently. I think it has potential to improve our efficiency, which is something we need badly if we’re going to survive.
My research on Lean Manufacturing In the Medical Device Industry has shown that we’d have to make a lot of adjustments, but the results would be well worth it in the long run.
I’d much rather improve our efficiency locally than resort to mass layoffs our overseas outsourcing.
What do you think?

You hear a lot of talk about ERP, but what does it stand for? Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP, by definition, refers to both ERP software and business strategies that implement ERP systems. ERP implementation utilizes various erp software applications to improve the performance of organizations for 1) resource planning, 2) management control and 3) operational control. ERP software consists of multiple software modules that integrates activities across functional departments - from product planning, parts purchasing, inventory control, product distribution, to order tracking. Most erp software systems include application modules to support common business activities - finance, accounting and human resources. It is well worth looking into.

The one type of personality that does not work well in business is the know-it-all. Luckily, I have been able to weed out most of those in my company but we have a couple of stragglers. Why I say that it is the worst type of person is because so often they are pessimistic about tyring new things - unless of course it was their idea. As a business and if you are thinking about your overall Business Process you should always keep your mind open to avenues that are value adding for your company and your clients. Both can be changing and you have to keep up with it.
