Braille Bibles For The Blind

Self-Improvement :: Spirituality

My favorite story about Helen Keller concerns one night when she was supposed to be sleeping, and Anne Sullivan came into her bedroom,only to find Helen sitting upright in her bed, a radiant smile on her face, reading her Braille Bible. There have been bibles for kids for as many years as the Braille alphabet has been in existence.

I love the strength of devotion that story brings to us. Despite the overwhelming darkness that surrounded Helen Keller, and even when she was supposed to be asleep, she reached to the light that we find only in our Lord.

Don’t forget resources for kids

Self-Improvement :: Spirituality

Don't forget, as you assemble your set of bible study tools, if you have a family you should also include some resource purchases for your children as well as for the adults.  For example, you can purchase a children's Bible dictionary, or a nice selection of colorful Bible maps for them to use.  You could also purchase an inexpensive Bible activity book or a book of questions and answers about the Bible.  Remember that you need to make an investment in your children's religious education as well as your own.

Study Bibles — do you know howto pick a good one?

Self-Improvement :: Spirituality

If you are an aspiring Bible student, one of the most important Bible study tools that you’ll ever own is a good-quality study Bible. These special-edition Bibles are equipped with all sorts of extra reference materials and helps that will help you to understand the message of the Scriptures, and it’s proper interpretation. Picking a good one can provide a great boost to your spiritual — and intellectual — Enlightenment. But since there are so many study Bibles around, choosing one can be a difficult task — that’s why I recommend that you check with your spiritual counselor for their advice and input: they can help you to stay away from resources that would not be helpful.
